Privacy that's actually private.
Text Counters is built to do as little to you as possible. Here's exactly what that means.

100% client-side
Every counter, converter, diff, and density calculation runs in your browser using JavaScript. Your text never leaves your device.
No uploads, no servers
The site is a static bundle served by a CDN. There is no API, no database, and no place for your input to land on our infrastructure.
No tracking cookies
We do not set tracking cookies and do not fingerprint visitors. Small UI preferences (e.g. theme) may be stored with localStorage if you turn them on.
Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (IP-anonymized)
We use Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js) to count aggregated, IP-anonymized page views and events. No personal data, no text you paste, and no clipboard contents are sent to Google.
Browser-native APIs only
Clipboard reads/writes use the browser Clipboard API, which always asks for your permission. Heavy work (text diff, keyword density) runs in a Web Worker on your CPU.
No third-party scripts
We do not load advertising scripts, social media pixels, or chat widgets. The page you load is the entire page.
If we ever change this
If we add a feature that touches your data in a new way — for example optional cloud sync or third-party ads — we will update this page first and call out the change at the top.
